SATINAL is a product of our own formulation and manufacture, composed of a balanced mixture of selected ground and blended inorganic salts that, when dissolved in hydrofluoric or hydrochloric acid, forms a solution able to produce a fine quality etching on the glass surface of containers for cosmetics, beverage and lighting.

The glass surface is chemically attacked, that produces a superficial roughness, creating the typical frosted appearance, also known as fluoridation. Unlike the mechanical process (sandblasting), “chemical” etching has no negative effect on glass resistance, which maintains its impact and temperature leap resistance.

The result is a white and uniform frosting finishing, soft and pleasing to the touch.

Our range of products included different kind of Satinal to satisfy all customers' needs :

• Satinal "S" : This kind of SATINAL is an etching/frosting powder suitable for use with manual/semi-automatic/automatic frosting systems.
  It gives a transparent etching finishing, pleasing to the touch (velvety) and always uniform. It is a frosting powder particularly suitable for the use with hydrofluoric acid. 
• Satinal "PLUS" : This kind of SATINAL is an etching/frosting powder suitable for the use with manual/semi-automatic/automatic frosting systems that need a rapid etching, qualitatively constant over time.
  It creates an uniform frosting finishing, always pleasing to the touch, even in case of large production volumes. It is a frosting powder particularly suitable for the use with hydrochloric acid.
• Satinal "Super White": This kind of SATINAL is an etching/frosting powder that has basically the same characteristics of Satinal Plus Micronizzato; but in addition it gives a particularly white and opaque finishing to the glass surface. It is a frosting powder particularly suitable for the use with hydrochloric acid.
• Satinal "Flat Glass" : This kind of SATINAL is an etching/frosting powder indicated for the etching/frosting of flat/float glass sheets (clear, extraclear, coloured, mirror, coloured mirror) and gives a covering uniform etching finishing. It is a frosting powder particularly suitable for the use with hydrofluoric acid.
• Satinal "++" : This kind of SATINAL is an etching/frosting powder suitable for the use only with automatic frosting systems that need a rapid etching, qualitatively constant over time.
  It gives always an uniform and soft frosting finishing, pleasing to the touch, even in case of large production volumes. It is a frosting powder particularly suitable for the use with hydrochloric acid.
