Heinz-Glas acquires the Flacon Business from Saverglass

The French high-end container glass manufacturer Saverglass is selling its well-known flacon business to the German manufacturer Heinz-Glas, which will expand its customer base and portfolio of own designs.

Heinz-Glas is a specialist for complete packaging solutions. The company produces bottles and jars for the perfume and cosmetics industry and offers numerous finishing technologies as well as matching plastic closures for the glass products. It has 16 locations in twelve countries on three continents.

Saverglass, the world leader in the super premium spirits and wine bottles market, continues to grow and has focused its production capacity on these markets.

In that respect, in June 2018, Saverglass started a new glass and finishing plant in Mexico, its sixth location on three continents, to meet the increased demand for high-end bottles throughout the Americas, where customers ask for a high degree of differentiation.

Since 1997, Saverglass built up a portfolio of loyal customers and an attractive range of their own glass designs in the perfume, cosmetics and home fragrance sector.

Saverglass also justifies its decision by saying that Heinz-Glas is the one glass manufacturer in Europe for the perfume and cosmetics range. The existing Saverglass customers are in good hands with Heinz-Glas, as Mr. Jean-Marc Arrambourg explained.

Mr. Carl-August Heinz stated at the occasion of the deal signing ceremony that the Heinz-Glas team feels the responsibility to serve the customers in the future at least as good as Saverglass did in the past.

In the coming weeks, Heinz-Glas and Saverglass will ensure in common a smooth transition for the customers.
