The Alpha-D
SHB's drop by drop application system

Inspired by nature, SHB has designed a completely new application and dosing system that ensures consumers use beauty products correctly and without making a mess. The new patent pending system allows the user to dose a specific product drop by drop, therefore alleviating the need for an expensive valve. By opening the cap and turning the bottle over, the product is dispensed easily and without causing spills. There is absolutely no need to apply pressure to the container housing the product, as gravity handles just about all of the work. Squeezing the bottle, however, does in fact allow the user to dose a more steady stream of product, or even a squirt if required.

The obvious application is for hair colouring products, where a steady, even, and uniform dose offers superior results to a container and dispensing solution not designed to offer limited evacuation. As the dosing is controlled, it's also an ideal solution for high- or low-lighting, allowing the consumer applying the treatment to control exactly where the colouring will go, nearly strand by strand. Most people at home won't necessarily require that level of control, but hair care professionals will certainly appreciate how well they'll be able to direct the application of the products they use.

Stolle Health and Beauty is a family-owned company founded in 1991. The company is fully committed to the development and marketing of plastic articles, particularly for the two industries in its name. Interestingly, the firm supplied cartridges for the mining industry but soon started supplying bottles for household cleaning and laundry products. In 1994, the company switched gears and launched its first complete cosmetic series, consisting of upscale bottles and closures. Series after series followed. SHB now has over 25 bottle series, and supplies them to Europe, the USA, Canada, and many other countries. The company was one of the first to market with a tri-injection, three-colour closure.
