Spectra recently provided new environmentally friendly packs for Skin Blossom’s organic ranges.

We provided 300ml, 150ml and 50ml packs from our extensive range of tubular round containers.

The new packs were also manufactured using 100% Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) PET for a truly environmentally responsible packaging solution.

The new range, which includes body lotions, washes, shampoos, conditioners and bath soaks as well as moisturisers and cleansing milks, were colour matched by Spectra in a distinctive deep green. We also silk-screen printed the new packs in a single pass white to pull out Skin Blossom’s strong branding style to great effect.

Alex Beveridge, Field Sales Representative at Spectra commented, "We were delighted to offer Skin Blossom an environmentally responsible solution for their popular personal care ranges. Our PCR materials fit perfectly with their products natural organic ingredients and reinforces their green ethos”.

Skin Blossom’s skin and hair care products are made in the UK and have been specifically created to contain organic and skin-friendly ingredients. What’s more, their products have been certified by The Soil Association, a body that boasts very strict health and beauty standards. A process that carefully checks the ingredients to guaranteeing organic integrity and ensuring the contents are not harmful to health and minimising the environmental impact during manufacture.

Spectra’s PCR is made from recycled plastic products - an environmentally kinder alternative to materials that would otherwise be disposed in landfill sites.

These materials are sourced from the UK and Europe and available to run in a variety of levels from 25% to 100%. Spectra’s PCR products also meet stringent European food contact regulations, providing customers with both reassurance and peace of mind.

Additionally, these materials can be recycled again for new manufacturing, providing continued sustainability, ideal for brands that desire a complete recycled packaging solution for their products.

Silva Walker from Raepak, who represent Skin Blossom said, “Spectra’s continued developments in environmental plastics enabled Skin Blossom to package their products in a genuinely responsible manner. The packs also look superb too”.

Our long-term desire has always been to reduce virgin material levels in our products, encouraging our customers to embrace Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content. To back up this desire, we continue to put solid and robust supply chains in place to support customer demand. Since then, we have seen more and more customers appreciate the environmental benefits of recycled content in their packaging, with many taking levels beyond 10%, in many instances as high as 100%.
