SRP has introduced a double walled closure comprised of PMMA acrylic. The closure was first unveiled for SR's cosmetic tube packaging to present a more upmarket outer cover steering well away from pre-conceived misconceptions of cheap shoddiness.

PMMA shares many of the same qualities as glass. Both are transparent and able to transmit light; both are hard; both can be coloured; but, whereas glass can be easily broken into a million splinters and shards, acrylic is a safe choice - shatter resistant and user friendly. Consumers feel safer by choosing acrylic packaging products, yet associate more brand value for the glass-like luxury look.

SRP's double walled closure can be further enhanced with injection moulding to produce a variety of shapes and styles. Metallizing or overspraying offers companies the opportunity to make the cap fit within existing line or match corporate branding with the inner layer used to decorative effect, enhancing the brand identity.
