Many makeup compacts, lipsticks, and lipgloss packages are usually either difficult or unable to be recycled, due to the packaging design complexity or the heavily coated decoration. Considering that makeup items are usually small, it would do less harm to the environment to opt for biodegradable materials rather than post-consumer recycling. With a thorough evaluation from an engineering perspective, SR Packaging has added an alternative material option for makeup products — Recycled Pulp.

The concept is based on reusing resources available instead of harvesting forest which is recognized as environmentally harmful and had led to an even worse situation. By using recycled pulp for packaging components, a greener lifestyle is presented. Consumers no longer have to toss away components that cannot be decomposed in landfill. It also helps with enhancing brand identity and consumer confidence in a brand. 

The design team at SR Packaging will be extending this design concept for more variations, and ensure they are seen worldwide to raise more awareness of positive and sustainable green actions.
