Syntegon Technology is the new name among the market leaders in the processing and packaging industry. Known as Bosch Packaging Technology until late 2019, the former Bosch division has now presented itself as an independent enterprise at the company headquarters in Waiblingen.

The big leaguer of the Dominican Republic

César Iglesias has 20 factories and over 2,000 employees. To provide high-quality products to the many consumers who use them each day, the company partnered with Bosch Packaging Technology to improve the sealing of their cereal bags by replacing their existing vertical form, fill and seal (VFFS) machines. César Iglesias was so pleased with the quality of Bosch’s machine that the company went on to purchase a complete packaging line for its Cornflakes (Azukitas), Chocolitas and Fruit Loops cereals (Frutiaros).

Market launch: new filling and closing machine AFG 5000 from Bosch

As part of an exclusive machine presentation in Crailsheim from September 18 through 29, 2017, Bosch Packaging Technology introduced the latest addition to its AFG series. The filling and closing machine for pharmaceutical powders in glass vials offers manufacturers a wide range of options. “During development, our main focus was on flexibility,” explains Dieter Bandtel, product manager at Bosch Packaging Technology. “With the AFG 5000, customers can choose between several different versions and various features. In addition, we have significantly increased the output rate in the high-performance segment.”

Bosch presents the world's first sealed paper packaging

Bosch Packaging Technology and BillerudKorsnäs developed the world's first Sealed Paper Packaging. Instead of using polymer film, a new solution enables production of dust-tight packaging for dry products such as sugar, grains, flour or powders using sustainable mono-material paper, which contains no additional polymer fractions.
