Tapematic S.p.A. founded in 1970, designs, develops and markets high-quality industrial machinery.
Tapematic is an independent privately owned company with well over four decades of manufacturing experience. When Luciano Perego first formed the company back in 1973 it was housed in a small building not far from the existing site. Five years later work started on a new facility and by 1980 it was finished ready to allow expansion into the fast growing industry of ‘tape’. In the following twenty years the facility turned out thousands of ‘loaders’, the audio cassette loader 2002 quickly became the industry standard. Which was quickly followed by another success with the 3003 VHS loader as soon as the VHS product was release.
Right from the beginning Tapematic machinery was built around the concept of Luciano being the inventor and designer, who worked very closely with our technical office and research & development team, whom in turn had the resources of a large and well equipped in-house machine shop, all of this provided a very strong foundation upon which to build machinery and after all these years still remains a strong focal point of the Tapematic organization.
In the late nineties a second facility was erected adjacent to the original construction, built using the latest technology the facility is spacious, bright and offers an extremely clean working environment for the optical technology that was by then dominating the market.
Logistically the company is very well situated in the northern industrial area of Italy, just on the outskirts of Milan having a network of highways and international airports close by (Milan Linate 20 Km, Bergamo Orio 20 Km, Milan Malpensa 50 Km).
