    Interview with Roberto Casini

    The Wine Industry of Ukraine is well established and with long traditions. Recently the Ukrainian magazine AZ interviewed Mr. Roberto Casini, entrepreneur and Managing Director of Microcell, a Tapì Group Company, which is the second producer in the world for alternative wine closures.

    Here is Mr. Casini's reply regarding the entry of Microcell into Tapì Group.

    Journalist: Recently we published an article on Tapì Group, which as I understand is now your parent company. What brought the two companies together?

    Roberto Casini: In a market that is constantly evolving, the strategic entry of Microcell into Tapì Group last year, extends and completes the group with a wide range of closures for wine, a sector where the group was scarcely present in the past. Tapì and Microcell share a common commitment to quality and Italian design in order to give clients the freedom to think in any possible direction, to create new identities or branding. This is the spirit that brought the two companies together.

    In December last year Tapì S.p.A. and Microcell S.r.l. signed an agreement to allow Microcell to enter into the Tapì Group. Since Microcell was established in 2005 by Mr's. Roberto Casini and Francesco Tagliapietra it has grown to become a reference in the field of alternative closures for the wine industry with expertise in lean manufacturing systems and in the technological development of high-performance closures.

    Tapì Group is the world leader in the production of alternative designer closures and an important reference to the global beverage sector. The group can boast over 3000 prestigious distilleries as clients in 62 countries worldwide.

    Tapi Group's side embossed closure for Distillerie Franciacorta

    The Italian distillery, Distillerie Franciacorta, recently launched a new distinctive shape bottle design for its "Grappa Piave 'Selezione cuore' 40°", an iconic brand in Italy, distinguished by its remarkable quality and craft. To provide the finishing touch to the bottle, Tapì Group supplied Distillerie Franciacorta a customized side embossed closure featuring the name of founder of the company, Mr. Luigi Gozio, who created the company in 1901 by distilling grape pomace.
