True to its commitment to providing full service to its customers, Tesem - one of Europe's leading producers of aluminum parts for the perfume and cosmetic industry - continually invests in the improvement of its production processes. 2013 has been a year in which Tesem has heavily invested in aluminium decorations and assembly processes with the acquisition of new machinery and the building of an environmentally controlled room.

Decoration Machinery
Investment in new machinery represents an exponential increase in capacity and possibilities for aluminium decorations supplied by the Tesem group. The company has acquired and automated two of the most updated and advanced laser engraving machines out there.

Tesem's process improvements continue with the installation of two screen printing machines and a controlled electric oven. One machine comes with numerical controls, a system that facilitates the decoration of parts having specific geometric shapes. The second machine is automatic and allows for the production of large numbers of simply-shaped parts.

With the acquisition of this new machinery, the current Tesem range for aluminium decoration now consists of six laser engraving machines and four screen printing machines. Equipment will be extended in the coming months with three new automatic screen printing machines.

White Room
Tesem's white room is an isolated room in the assembly plant with a controlled environment to keep out traces of dust and particles. The new room is intended for assembly of highly sensitive products, mainly from the cosmetics sector, where part of the packaging is likely to come into direct contact with the product.

The clearance of particles from cardboard and other materials in the rest of the assembly plant has also been enhanced by the complete separation of machinery from cardboard packaging with the use of a partition panel.

These investments add to the company's existing capabilities and expertise in aluminium packaging: aluminium deep-drawing and stamping, product development, anodizing, plastic injection, finishes, decorations, engravings and assembly. All of these processes take place in the group's four production plants located in the town of Torelló (Barcelona).
