Totempak News
Sealing paper cups for take-aways has been the trend in Taiwan in recent years. The convenience and effects offered by the seals are well-cherished and recognized by consumers, while seals also cost a lot lesser than traditional lids. Seals also solved the problem of leakages in take-away beverages for the scooter-enthusiasts. Other than bubble tea shops and traditional breakfast shops, franchise brands like KFC and TKK also started to adopt paper cup seals for take-outs to reduce costs.
Improving Sealing Success Rate
The Flat Convex Cup is a new paper cup developed by Totempak. Its rim structure is designed in accordance with the physics behind the sealing machines, aimed to increase the contact area for sealing machines when conducting heat-presses, which provides better sealing performances. It is different from the traditional rolled-edge rim, which has heightened failure rates due to a smaller contact area.
Resolving Coating Fall-Offs from Peeling Seals
After sealing traditional paper cups, the coated film on the inside of the cup comes off easily when the consumer tries to rip off the seal, creating separation issues. The rim of Totempak's Flat Convex Cups is specially processed, and the coated film on the inside of the cup does not easily come off when trying to remove the seal. The seal breaks on the flat rim in full, making it a new breakthrough in paper cup sealing.
The Flat Convex Cup That Can Be Sealed Again
Excluding human factors, the sealing success rate of the Flat Convex Cups are close to 100%. If improper sealing was to occur due to human error, the seal can be ripped off for the cup to be sealed again (note: repeated sealing can only be done under the condition that the rim is not moistened by beverages, and the rim is not severely damaged). After sealing, traditional paper cups cannot undergo a second sealing due to severe deformation in the rolled-edge rims. However, the rims of Flat Convex Cups are designed in accordance with the physics behind sealing machines. Its fixed rolled-edge design can accommodate repeated sealing.
[INFO] Totempak 3D Pop Cup
With the rapid growth in hot beverage market recently, there are increasing demands for quantity in take-out paper cups. Other than the basic thermal insulation function demanded by consumers in take-out paper cups, the appearance of the cups themselves is beginning to play an important role in attracting consumers. Totempak 3D Pop Cup made a breakthrough in printing technology, making the paper cups more distinguished, as well as being thermal insulated.
3D Printing
Adopting new materials in printing enabled the printing of 3D textures on the surface, breaking the traditional confines of 2D printing on paper cups. Totempak's patented 3D printing can easily attract the attention of consumers.
Thermal Insulated 3D Foam Material
In addition to being able to print 3D textures on the surface of Totempak 3D Pop Cup, they also provide basic thermal insulation functions, preventing scalding when containing hot beverages.
3D Foam Material That Does Not Rub Off
Common low-quality foam materials have severe fall off problems when rubbed. The paper cups go through a great amount of rubbing when stacked together for packaging, producing a great amount of fall off debris inside the cups, which is likely to be ingested by consumers. This is in violation of food safety regulations.
Totempak 3D Pop Cup adopts brand new materials, making breakthroughs in materials, manufacturing process, and equipment, producing no debris fall-off issues due to rubbing, in full compliance with food safety regulations. Before shipping, the products undergo tests by rubbing machines, safeguarding consumer safety with the highest standard.
Reducing Measurement and Freight Cost
Our products have saved the space of heat insulation cup and double wall cup in the stack.
The global demand for plastic product is immense and the heavy consumption that causes problematic plastic waste has created destructive impact to the environment. PLA now becomes a popular packaging material due to the awareness of Saving Nature. As always being ahead of the market, Totempak provides biodegradable PLA paper cups that are now available to replace the most common plastic cups. The idea behind PLA paper cups is to reduce plastic waste to the polluted environment.
The advantage of using PLA paper cups instead of PLA transparent cups is the compatibility with high temperature materials. PLA transparent cups are used for low temperature materials only as they deformed with high temperature content.
Totempak PLA Paper Cup Product Features
- Totempak is certified by OWS, and complies with EN 13432 (2000), AS 4736 (2006), ASTMD6868 & ISO 18606 (2013) international certification standards as well as DIN CERTCO “Biobased Products” certificate.
- Non-GMO materials from Cassava are used in coating to our paper cups, while common PLA mostly uses GMO starch as raw materials, which poses a big concern for the environment and human health. Totempak is using the non-GMO material with the highest international credibility, to resolve environment pollution and health issues.
