Outer Layer (HDPE)
Middle Layer (DryKeep® Layer)
Inner Layer (HDPE or LDPE)
The moisture uptake in the DryKeep layer is also "slow and controllable, so containers don't require special care in the filling process to ensure their moisture capacity is intact," commented Jad Darsey, the Sales Manager for Strategic Markets at TricorBraun.
DryKeep bottles are available in multilayer EBM and monolayer IBM formats in any size. DryKeep, when injection molded, can be utilized in almost any part, including scoops used for powdered products and plates to replace breakable sachets or canisters in the mixing of hydroscopic powders. Blown into films, DryKeep can be utilized for protective pouches, bags and, potentially, blisters.
With the DryKeep system in place, companies can offer an ideal internal atmosphere for the entire life of the product being contained, without having to engage in special filling processes such as heating, inserting loose desiccant into a prepared container, or engaging in additional inspections.
As the internal relative humidity produced by the DryKeep system can be designed to match the needs of the product contained, the solution is viable for a wide range of applications, including products in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.
