Five Trivium team members participated in the DTS Zandvoort Triathlon in an effort to support a mission of reducing beach plastic waste and preventing microplastics from entering our seas, supporting the Dutch charity Coast Busters.
Taking on the F1 challenge
The event, held on June 15th, 2024, was not just any triathlon; it has a highly challenging circuit, taking place on the legendary GP Zandvoort Circuit. Participants raced their bikes on the closed-circuit track and finished with a run around the iconic course.
Just like Formula 1 stars, participants flew through the corners and sprinted down long straights, making for an unforgettable and challenging experience. Despite the harsh Dutch weather conditions, our team secured a commendable 5th place finish.
A word from a Trivium athlete
Roberto Visconti shared his thoughts: “I am so proud of the entire team and grateful to all colleagues who supported us. We exceeded our fundraising target by 30%, raising nearly €1,300 for Coast Busters. This contribution will significantly help reduce plastic pollution and aligns with our shared purpose.”
Teamwork and positive change
This event reflects the power of teamwork and collective effort. Each contribution, whether through athletic participation or generous donations, played a crucial role in making this initiative successful.
