TUBEX Holding GmbH, based in Rangendingen, Germany, has acquired the Hungarian packaging manufacturer Matrametal Kft. The two companies have agreed not to disclose the terms of the purchase.

Like TUBEX, Matrametal is a manufacturer of aluminium packaging with over 60 years of experience. Located in Sirok, Hungary, Matrametal produces aluminium aerosol cans and aluminium tubes.

TUBEX has been the packaging specialist for aluminium aerosol cans, aluminium tubes, aluminium cartridges and plastic tubes for the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food and technology markets for over 70 years.

In future, the 7 production sites of TUBEX Group will have a capacity of 700 million aerosol cans and 1,6 billion aluminium tubes. More than 1,700 people will work at these 7 production sites.
