Hand Packing and Rework

Not all packing can or should be done by machines. Our skilled and experienced staff will ensure your product is packed with precision and care and displayed to its full potential in whichever receptacle you choose. If you have goods which need to be re-labelled, re-packed or packed into a different format, we can provide this service to an exceptional standard.

Shelf-Ready Packaging

This service provides one smooth fluid motion to get products from storage to retail shelf. We use a unit predominantly made of corrugated cardboard, a tray and a cover, which is easily detachable by perforations.

Gift Packing

A major part of our industry, not only at Christmas but all year round. From ornaments, to beauty to hampers. We pack it, seal it and store it. We have worked with many household names throughout the years and they keep coming back for more, which proves how outstanding our work is.

Kitting, Collating and Assembly

Not only do we provide a packing service, we also collate and assemble. If you manufacture a product that needs those special finishing touches before packing, we are happy to help. This is one of our many specialities, and one that our teams are fully trained on to the highest standard.

Garment Processing

Preparing clothing for retail can be a tiresome and costly exercise for manufacturers, distributors and importers. Here at Tweed, we can take the pressure from you by sorting by size or colour, tagging, converting to hangar, poly-bagging and fold packing.

Sleeving

This is a process to help combine and secure your goods. Used mostly on promotional goods or ‘two for one’ deals, we use a strong film to sleeve the items together. This can be done by either hot air or steam tunnels.

POS Assembly

Point of Sales displays are used in the majority of stores across the country. They have a high impact on consumers with their strong visual effects. Our team are extremely competent in the assembly, filling and delivery of the stands. Whether you distribute batteries or bath sponges, we cover the entire spectrum.

L Sealing

This process forms a plastic bag from a roll of film. As it passes through the machine, the product is placed inside the bag and then sealed. Again, the products you place in the bags are unrestricted. We only use the best quality film to provide our customers with the quality they expect and deserve.

Shrink Wrapping

Polyethylene film is used in this process to wrap snugly to your products, keeping them secure. This is mainly used for transport purposes but also used in the collating process. We are very proud at Tweed that we have one of the UK’s largest shrink tunnels at almost 1m², so if you need a pen shrink wrapped or a picnic hamper, we are happy to oblige.

Clam Packing

These are a fully encased, two cavity blister made from extremely tough plastic. They can be clipped or heated to close and are extremely effective in reducing the risk of theft.

Flow Wrapping

During the flow wrapping process, a film is wrapped around your product, sealed on the rear with a fin seal and then sealed by crimping at each end. Again, a hugely versatile process in which there are virtually no limitations to what product can be sealed and packed in this way.

Clip Stripping

Extremely eye-catching tool in marketing. We pre-load your product onto the clip strips so they are ready for display in store with your goods. You can use these to display anything from peanuts to paper clips.

Filling

Exactly as it sounds. We fill bags, pouches, jars, etc. with whatever material our customers need.
