“Trends to single-use vials that target specific audiences are growing as much or more than "sampling" products,” Les Greer, UPI’s Senior Packaging Engineer, said. “Unit-dose packaging with several doses to a carton or jar has become an alternative way to package. Unit-dose packaging offers many important benefits, such as dosage control.”
UPI’s MicroDose and Twist-Tip vials are manufactured with their proprietary in-line modified-blow-fill-seal process utilizing recyclable polyethylene resin. The vials can be clear, colored, printed, or labeled to meet customer’s product marketing needs. Products can be oral or topical in liquid to gel viscosity.
The Twist-Tip vials are similar to a small bottle, with a large reservoir topped by a twist-off tab allowing for each to control dispensing. Standard sizes are .2ml to 15ml.
The MicroDose vials have a dispensing tip that can be used for controlled application of topical products or as a dropper mechanism. Standard sizes are .2ml to 8ml.
The MicroDose and Twist-Tip vials are unlike any other package on the market, and their unique attributes make them perfect for such applications as diagnostics, OTC medications, cosmetics and spa products, veterinary, adhesives and first aid products.
