Expert for Industry Packaging and Building Services developed complete Ethernet Data Network for Light Waves
The WERIT Kunststoffwerke Company (www.werit.eu) opens up new market segment: With the core of an optical fibre net the new product group PHOTONconnect was created. Based on polymeric optical fibres WERIT developed a complete system for building owners, architects, planners and installation technicians. The new product range includes an under-floor system, energy pillars, multi-media units, power outlet strips and accessories. These solutions are technically faster, easier to install and more cost-effective compared to the conventional cabling.
WERIT concentrates on industry packaging – primarily made of plastic – as well as on building services and special products. With PHOTONconnect the company opens up a new product area, the components of which operate with optical fibres made of synthetic material (POF) primarily used for data transmission. Polymeric optical fibres offer a real alternative towards copper conductors as they are of extremely robust nature and easy to make up.
Fast, easy and safe – the better option
The new WERIT-optical fibre net with optical duplex polymer fibre is suitable for both: new installations and subsequent installations. This makes an easy, fast, safe and cost-effective installation possible for building owners, electrical planners and installation technicians. “Compared to similar products of market players we developed an integrated system; a complete network with components for under-floor systems, office and standard installations,“ explains Günther Mackens, authorised representative and sales manager at WERIT Kunststoffwerke.
The series incorporates the following products: CONNECTfloor (under-floor system), CONNECToffice (energy pillars for offices), CONNECTmedia (video- and audio signals), CONNECTflex (power outlet strips) and CONNECTaccessories (accessories).
“The applied future-proof Ethernet-technology ensures fast data transmission in the network. In addition, the WERIT-optical fibres are easy to run and install. The light pulses are tap-proof and radiation-free,“ states Günther Mackens.
