    The Y-Series: PS reconsidered

    • Young Shang

Often, PET steals the show as the material of choice for companies seeking to create transparent packaging. In a sense, PET has has become the material of choice with regard to many packaging solutions. Young Shang's mainstay is PET packaging, but the company has recently released the Y-Series, made of PS that's just as useful a material as PET with many key differences that make it the ideal solution for a variety of needs.

First and foremost, PS is incredibly shatter-resistant, making it perfect for packaging products that are more delicate. Thanks to this resistance, PS can also be cast into moulds to include exceptionally fine detailing without losing coherency, and as such, is perfect for items that need to include embossing or debossing. Young Shang offers it's PS items in a wide range of colours, though the company is known for producing an exceptionally clear and luminescent form of the plastic that can match just about any other plastic on the market for clarity and brilliance.

Environmentally, PS, as a thermosplastic, can be recycled just as easily as other modern plastics, making it an item that enters the consumer use/waste life cycle almost without cease. Primitive forms of PS contained CFCs which contemporary forms do not, and Young Shang ensures that all items in the Y-Series are CFC-free.

Lastly, PS doesn't carry the heavy price tag that other plastics do, making it a tried and tested solution that won't bankrupt a firm seeking to offer a product on the market.

Available is a wide range of sizes, the Y-Series is yet another way that Young Shang is able to use all the tools at its disposition to ensure a customer gets the right solution for his product(s).
