ADA Packaging, boasting a variety of products including lotion pumps, mist sprayers, trigger sprayers, cream jars and lotion bottles made of acrylic, PP, PET, PETG, glass or aluminum, has released a new PET-G bottle so well crafted that it's hard to believe it's not made of glass. The bottle is durable, scuff- and stress-resistant, and can be decorated in myriad fashions.
As the bottles are made of PET-G, they are incredibly easy to recycle. The material also provides a number of benefits, as normally associated with products produced from it. The bottles have a good heft to them, and are resistant to chemicals and stress whitening, making them ideal for international shipping and distribution. Transparency, colouring and heft are also excellent.
The bottle represents ADA's tentative first steps to taking sophisticated PET and PET-G products into markets where they have traditionally been shunned. In this case, the foray is into the perfume and fragrance market, where glass has ruled supreme for centuries. The bottle is one of many new products that seek to change consumer opinion on fragrances bottled in plastic. "Mermaid" is certainly refined enough to make the attempt.
