On the demand of COTY, AWANTYS has developed and produced the closures for the fragrance CONTRADICTION by CALVIN KLEIN (50ml and 100ml versions).

The key objective of this project was the replacement of an existing aluminum cap with a delicate groove structure and consisting of several parts by a single-part plastic version with an identical surface. A 3d-scan of the surface allowed to transfer the original groove structure into the injection molds which work with jaws and a central injection gate via a hot runner system.

To realize the aluminum appearance of the original closure, the plastic raw parts are finished with a multi-layer metallization.
