Thermoforming is the preferred process for packaging products and consists of a plastic sheet being heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mold, and trimmed to create a usable product.

The film is heated to a sufficient temperature so that it can be stretched into or onto a mold and cooled to a finished shape.

Thermoforming differs from injection moulding, blow moulding, rotational moulding and other forms of processing plastics and is the preferred choice in the manufacture of containers, lids, trays, blister packs, clamshells and other products for the packaging industry.

Belpac utilises a range of different gauges dependent on the product it is packing. We recycle all of our scrap and waste plastic which is converted back into extruded sheets for forming again. Having access to all the leading material suppliers in both the UK and Europe enables Belpac to source material that satifies both quality and cost demands.

The material we use includes: APET PETG, RPET, PVC, POLYPROP and HIPS A full range of colours are available to meet any branding requirements.
