US-based global coatings manufacturer Valspar has successfully launched its premium paint for the European DIY market in Paintainer® pails from RPC Superfos featuring a golden metallic look and a new design. For its entry into the market, Valspar came up with a design brief that specified a user-friendly, vibrant and memorable packaging solution. After various competitive analyses and tests, the company chose the injection moulded polypropylene Paintainer.

Superfos gives lift to new range

An 8.7 litre SuperLift pail from RPC Superfos has been selected for a new range from Saint Gobain Construction Products under its trademark u-can brand. The injection moulded PP container is being used for three all-in-one repair kits for complex tasks. The unique selling point of the range is that all the items needed to carry out a repair, such as a texturing brush, filling knife and bags of plaster, are available in just one pack.

RPC Superfos' bespoke butter tub wins 'Award for Design Excellence'

A bespoke butter tub from RPC Superfos has won an 'Award for Design Excellence' for a Norwegian food company for both its design and recyclability benefits. TINE, Norway's leading provider of branded food products, its subsidiary Fjordland and the design agency EGGS, were presented with the award by The Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture. The pack, whose introduction by TINE has seen a 65% increase in sales of the company's spreadable butter and margarine products, was described by the award jury as 'an impressive achievement' and praised for meeting 'all requirements for overall design'.

Following a part conversion from glass to plastic, Swedish food producer Danica Foods is packing its private label jam for a major supermarket in SuperLock® pots from RPC Superfos, decreasing the risk of product contamination and achieving lower energy costs.
