Silver for Bischof + Klein: plastic packaging manufacturer Bischof + Klein scored a high number of points in the assessment of its climate performance by “The Climate Choice” organization. The company’s environmental management proved especially convincing.

With its platform, “The Climate Choice” organization (TCC) supports the decarbonization of companies and their supply chains. Using what are called “climate ratings”, it enables companies to determine how they are positioned in terms of their climate impacts compared to their competitors. This is the prerequisite for specifically and measurably reducing their own dependence on fossil fuels.

The final report from TCC states that “Bischof + Klein demonstrates particular strengths in the areas of impact model, leadership, and transparency.“ This refers, for instance, to Bischof + Klein’s goal of only manufacturing recyclable packaging in the future. At Bischof + Klein, the top management echelon is responsible for the company’s climate performance and environmental management. Successful participation in the EcoVadis sustainability rating for companies and our continuous communication on climate and environmental protection issues in the annual sustainability report are additional plus points. The code of conduct, which Bischof + Klein additionally demands that its suppliers uphold, also plays an important role.
