Cardbox Packaging in the Czech Republic has been certified in the field of corporate social responsibility by the international auditing company EcoVadis and has defended the silver medal. EcoVadis evaluates the company's approach to sustainable development on the basis of 21 criteria in the field of environmental protection, working conditions and human rights, ethics and sustainable development. The EcoVadis methodology is based on international CSR standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000.

The resulting analysis summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of our company in terms of our principles, activities and results, and also provides recommendations for improving activities and procedures that will strengthen corporate social responsibility.

Lindt replaces plastics by award winning cardboard packaging

Lindt & Sprüngli GmbH in cooperation with Cardbox Packaging Wolfsberg GmbH have developed a new award-winning packaging solution for their chocolate ladybugs. The set of chocolate ladybugs has switched from the plastic packaging into a completely recyclable cardboard solution, with the goal to support sustainability and still maintain attractiveness for consumers. Value added packaging features lies in finishing techniques as well. Delicious milk chocolate filled with almond creme in the new packaging guarantees the gift wanted by consumers.

Multipack for desserts educates consumers to recycle correctly

Bringing creative and sustainable packaging solution is the main goal of the Czech national packaging competition Obal roku. The Food packaging award went to Cardbox Packaging for Míša Multipack, developed for OLMA, a.s. The judges were impressed not only by the recyclability but also by the recycled material from which the packaging is made. The logistical advantages were the highlight, as well as the graphics as the signs guide the consumer towards correct sorting. The packaging is now eligible to enter the WorldStar Packaging Award!

Finally: Both Carton Austria Awards 2021 go to Cardbox Packaging!

The winners of the Carton Austria Award (CAA) 2021 were honored in a festive setting on May 30th. The competition is a joint project by PROPAK Austria, CASH Handelsmagazin and Pro Carton. It brings the best Austrian cardboard packaging solutions onto the stage, and they’re really something to be proud of! This time, both award winners come from Cardbox Packaging Wolfsberg.

In December 2021, World Packaging Organization announced the winners of WorldStar Global Packaging Awards 2022. Cardbox Packaging has been recognized with WorldStar Global Packaging Award in the Food category. It is already the second hit of Cardbox Packaging in the competition. The company has already impressed the jury with Cuckoo Ice Cream compostable cup in the same category last year.

Cardbox Packaging, a leader in paper labels and sleeves, received Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification (License Code: FSC-C172146; Certificate Code: SA-COC-012680) from the Soil Association Certification. Cardbox Packaging has announced its acquisition of the Buch Theiss GmbH bookbinding workshop’s premises in St. Stefan/Wolfsberg. The Cardbox Packaging Group, with sites in Austria, Serbia, Czechia and the USA, has been active in Carinthia since 2011, employing 60 of its almost 250 employees at this location.

It is already the second hit of Cardbox Packaging in the competition. The previous year Cuckoo Ice Cream won in the same category. CBX Spoon from Cardbox Packaging wins at OBAL ROKU 2020
