Founded in 1964, Cascades produces, converts and markets packaging and tissue products that are composed mainly of recycled fibres. The Company employs 11,000 employees, who work in close to 90 production units located in North America and Europe. With its management philosophy, half a century of experience in recycling, and continuous efforts in research and development as driving forces, Cascades continues to deliver the innovative products that customers have come to rely on.

Packaging
One of the two main packaging manufacturers in Canada, Cascades is ranked sixth in North America for containerboard and corrugated product production. Cascades’ packaging sector spans three groups: European Boxboard Group, Containerboard Group and Specialty Products Group.
Europoean Boxboard Group
The European Boxboard Group operates two plants in France that manufacture coated boxboard made from virgin fibres and holds close to a 58% interest in Reno de Medici SpA, an Italian public company that operates seven plants throughout Europe that manufacture coated boxboard made from recycled fibres.
This operating platform enables the European Boxboard Group to rank second among European manufacturers of coated recycled boxboard in terms of production capacity.
The European Boxboard Group products are used to make folding cartons and microflute packaging.
