Collcap marked twenty years in the packaging industry on Monday 11th February, celebrating two decades of remarkable growth.
Formed in 1993 by managing director John McDermott, Collcap began as a small company with a focus on providing caps and closures. Collcap now offers a comprehensive range of primary packaging for the personal care industry, courtesy of an extensive global sourcing network.

Within seven years of starting the business, a Hong Kong office was opened, developing essential links with manufacturers in the region. Offices in Shenzhen and Taiwan soon followed.

Recent years have seen rapid growth within the corporation, most recently through the acquisition of local filler Longshawe in 2012. This addition to the Collcap group produces new cosmetics and toiletries for the UK market, its facilities adding to Collcap’s already impressive résumé.

By merging a local presence with a global outlook, John has created a close-knit, dedicated team with a world-standard service offer. The technical skills and expertise within Collcap have garnered links throughout the UK and Europe with brands and fillers alike, with customers spanning the mass to prestige market sectors across Europe.
