Coster Group, a  leading multinational provider of spray and dispensing packaging components and filling machines, has started production in the new facility located in Barlborough, Derbyshire (UK). The Barlborough plant is dedicated to the production of aerosol valves and extends over a 10,000 m2 lot in a small industrial park, strategically located in close proximity to the M1 motorway.

Barlborough is Coster’s second plant in the UK, the first being located in Stevenage and also dedicated to aerosol valves production.

The decision to expand aerosol valve production capacity was driven by increasing demand on the local market, which is number one in production output in Europe with almost 1.5 BN aerosols produced according to the latest available figures. Production in Barlborough is organized around a fully automated production system, with a lean organisation of highly specialised operators and state of the art equipment to achieve the highest levels of quality and efficiency.

The facility is built according to the latest construction standards with a special attention towards the environment and sustainability. Composite cladding, LED lightning and the use of the latest building materials make it an extremely energy efficient building. The exterior is well integrated with the surrounding landscape thanks to green areas and a modern design.

Barlborough is the latest addition to Coster’s production organization, which encompasses 16 production plants spread out over 4 continents.
