Fancy & Trend, a Taiwan-based firm specializing in high quality, innovative cosmetic and skin care packaging, has developed two new diamante lip balm packaging concepts. Made from Polypropylene (PP), the product is less expensive and more durable. Featuring shiny, colourful crystals on the top of the cap, the product conveys a more premium feel while keeping costs down.
Over the years, lip balm has come a long way from being a fragrant moisturizer to keep lips from drying out on arid days. Instead, scientists have added more and more special ingredients, such as Salicylic Acids, Fruit Acids and Hyaluronic Acid, to keep lips moisturized and looking more plump and attractive. Therefore, the packaging material has had to keep up; consumers need something that is perfectly suitable for all kinds of formulae. Based on this fact, PP is the best choice for lip balm as it it's a very strong material and has great acid/alkali resistance. Also, having an immense capacity for recycling, PP is more friendly to our planet.
For a long time, lip balm was considered a basic/low-priced product; however, with high quality, shiny, and colourful gems on the top, the company re-defines the value proposition of lip balm. Consumers will happily pay premium rates for the product without any hesitation to enjoy the experience when they apply a prestige product.
Going even further, the company has designed two different sleeves, the flat opening and the sliding one, for those clients that have special marketing strategies to use the product for not only lip balm, but also for lipstick.
