Gaplast has been a partner of the pharmaceutical industry for more than 40 years. The applicable standards not only have to be met, but exemplified and exceeded.
Therefore, quality is a key feature of our work and affects all areas of our company. The certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001 has beena standard at Gaplast since as early as 1994.
The quality of packaging or application systems depends on the individual components, but also on quality-control during the assembly process.
The production lines are individually designed by Gaplast according to the requirements of the product and often even built in-house.
The in-house tool manufacturing enables a rapid implementation of new ideas in prototype production or series production tools. Further steps, such as mounting units, are implemented in the special purpose machinery manufacturing.

During the development of packages, processing steps like decoration or filling become more and more important. In some cases (printing, labeling, filling), we co-operate with partners.
Increasingly sleeve technology is used, not only because it can be optimally adapted to almost any type of packaging but also because the entire surface of the packaging can be completely used for decoration and information.

This is shown, amongst others, by our numerous patents. Approximately 10% of our employees work in the research and development department.
Encouraged and challenged by the management, as a driving force, our colleagues are committed and motivated and looking for new potential of materials and material combinations, creative designs and shapes to meet the challenges in terms of new application possibilities.
Some of these projects are supported by governmental research funding. Our engineers are also busy adapting our standard products to the requirements of new projects.
