Company Information
History
Keystone is a privately owned company that was founded circa 1890 by Mr. Jesse S. Keys in the Afton section of Madison, New Jersey. Originally known as The Keys Folding Paper Box Company, the Keystone Folding Box Company was incorporated in 1908 by Mr. Charles A. Chase and Edwin T. English. Keystone moved to Newark, New Jersey in 1910 and later, 1923, built a factory at its current location.
Today this historic company is owned and operated by the Hartman family, who have been directly involved with Keystone for more than 60 years. The very same unwavering philosophies and standards for quality still guide the company today…and will lead Keystone into the future.

A “team approach” combines the in-depth knowledge of our sales and design teams. Working together, they’ll guide you to a finished product that meets your challenges, requirements and specifications. Our CAD based sample making systems will create detailed working prototypes for your review and evaluation.
We’ll continue the process, working with your graphics department or vendor, to print and assemble a full-color mockup of your box with photos, illustrations, logos and other artwork in place, along with ingredients, instructions and other critical information for your approval.
Integrated Design and Graphics
Using these CAD samples, we’ll create the tooling, dies and plates needed to manufacture your boxes. Managing all these processes helps to eliminate unexpected problems. Our integrated structural design department and graphics department accurately controls the process following the strictest of procedures. Materials, equipment and personnel are second to none, ensuring that—from printing to die-cutting to gluing—your exact expectations are met or exceeded.
