Leading manufacturer of caps and closures, Kornelis, has delivered yet another solution to meet the multiple requirements of its customer.

The Dutch closures specialist are the second largest supplier to a well-known international condiments company and were called upon to produce new lightweight flip-top caps for their range of sauces.

The needs of the project were such that different caps were required for the customer’s A-brand and private label products, as well as the varying viscosities of the sauces.

Whereas a smooth flip-top cap was the chosen for the private label sauces, a ribbed finish was created for the branded products. The end result being a more desirable piece of packaging, as well as an improved user experience.

Furthermore, both caps were made with two different sizes of openings, 4mm and 6mm. The 4mm opening is appropriate for less viscous sauces and the 6mm opening for a higher viscosity and where higher dosage outputs are required.

The final part of the project was to include an induction foil with pull-tab, to lock in the freshness and taste of the sauces for the end user.
