Libo Cosmetics, one of the world's primary sources for upscale cosmetic packaging concepts, has released its latest item designed to offer consumers a better experience when using cosmetic powders, especially bases and foundations. Libo's new Push Button Powder Jar is a solid new option for ensuring better application and hygiene.

The way the new jar works is very simple. The consumer simply pushes the button on the bottom of the jar to release a predetermined amount of powder into the top applicator puff. With the puff loaded, application proceeds as normal, with the added benefit of the consumer never having to touch the actual applicator. Hence, oils from the skin and bacteria which are often found on fingertips never come in contact with the applicator. Freshly washed skin on the face, much cleaner than fingers, add little contamination to the puff which remains ready for next use.

The jar is composed of a number of materials designed to offer a cleaner reservoir which is perfect for cosmetics. Both the primary reservoir and the top supporting the puff applicator are made of PCTG, a relatively new polyester composition that is known for being slick and resistant to bacteria while maintaining a strength and clarity comparable to PET. The overcap is made of simple AS for ease of removal and replacement.

For companies, the new jar is a simple addition to any line. Bottom-filled, the jars can be incorporated onto existing lines without having to make complex calibration changes. As the body is made of PCTG, heat on the line is never an issue, as the plastic is well able to deal with any elevated temperatures that may be present in machinery or the product itself during filling. The jars are available in to versions, with either the simple clear overcap or a hard opaque cap with an attached mirror up top.

At about 58mm high and 33mm wide, the jars are the perfect size for throwing into a bag or purse, though they can just as easily take up little room in a medicine cabinet or on a dressing table.
