Linx strengthens Pakistan presence

Global printing and marking solutions provider Linx Printing Technologies has appointed a second distributor in Pakistan to help meet demand for its extensive range of equipment in key markets such as snacks, meat, foods, pharmaceuticals, personal care and cables.

Scalesmen Weighing Systems Pvt Ltd (SWS), based in Karachi, will be offering models from Linx’s advanced, high performance Continuous Ink Jet (CIJ), laser, Thermal Transfer (TTO) and Thermal Inkjet (TIJ) printer ranges.

Established in 1975, SWS is a leading supplier of industrial weighing and end of line product inspection systems, backed by comprehensive support services. The company has a reputation for delivering value-added solutions including fully-integrated systems and software, and says the addition of the Linx product portfolio provides the ideal complement to its existing offering.

“We believe this new business relationship with Linx will benefit our customers by providing an enhanced product range that will give us even greater flexibility in devising ever more comprehensive solutions,” explains SWS Partner Aatir Shahid.

New Linx ink for coding on to oily surfaces

Linx Printing Technologies has widened its range of specialist inks with the introduction of a new formula that meets the challenges of coding onto oily surfaces. Linx Black oil-penetrating ink 1062 is able to print effectively through light layers of oil onto a wide range of materials, including plastics, metal, glass and waxy surfaces. Linx 1062 ink also provides good adhesion on Oriented Polypropylene (OPP) and other plastic films, making it ideal for a variety of both industrial and food applications.
