The sun cream produced by Swiss company Gerda Spillmann AG contains physical and organic filters. High barrier packaging is thus extremely important, which is why the firm has selected Neopac's Polydose packaging for its latest product.

With a sun protection product, it is important to provide optimal protection for UV filters to ensure a long-lasting effect. The Gerda Spillmann Company therefore opted for Neopac's Polydose packaging for its “Sun protection 50+” product. The polyfoil and airless combination affords ideal protection against light and oxygen.

In addition to high-quality barrier properties, it was important for Gerda Spillman to launch a modern and innovative tube. In conjunction with Neopac, the Gerda Spillman team defined the key parameters needed to satisfy this requirement. The optimal tube size, tube printing and the applicator were defined by both companies in collaboration.

Anna Saner from Gerda Spillmann gave us her views on the new packaging: “We are extremely satisfied with this fine, elegant, useful packaging. It’s innovative, practical and manageable. Amongst other things, our customers particularly value the fact that it is easy to remove any remaining product from the tube”.

Gerda Spillmann has been producing effective moisturising cosmetics with natural ingredients since 1944. The Company has set high quality requirements in terms of ingredients and skin tolerance right from the start. All skin care products are dermatologically tested and contain no parabens or mineral oils. The cosmetics are developed and produced exclusively in Switzerland and are marketed by specialist retailers.

Neopac Announces New Cosmetics Tube Line in US Facility, and launches Polyfoil® Sensation

Neopac is introducing a new cosmetics tube line at its Wilson, NC plant. The state-of-the-art tube line boasts enhanced capacity and capabilities, enabling it to produce an additional 70 million tubes per year, ranging in size from 25-40mm in diameter and 15-150ml in volume. The investment will feature full tube body colorations and seven-color offset printing capabilities, with options for matte, silk, and glossy lacquers. Installation is set to commence in June 2024, with production slated to begin in August 2024.

Hoffmann Neopac Names Two Executives to Co-Lead U.S. Facility
