Nipra is engaged in the business of producing aluminium closures (also known as bottle caps or ROPP closures) and printed metal sheets in India.
The operations started in 1982 and with steady growth the group became one of the largest players in the metal packaging business in India.
Over the years by launching innovative products (printed aluminium sheets) and manufacturing methods (tandem cutting + coating line) the group has earned a leadership position in the industry. As on March 2014;
- There are 6 manufacturing factories located in North, West and Southern India
- The annual production capacity of aluminium closures is 2 billion pieces
- The group is the largest converter of aluminium closure stock in Indian sub-continent - Annual consumption exceeding 4500 tons
- There are 12 metal sheet printing/coating lines in production
The products manufactured under the group’s banner serve various industries such as spirits/distilleries, wine, pharmaceuticals and olive oil.
The products are exported to more than 20 countries in continents of Africa, Europe, Middle East, South America and South East Asia.
Mr. Prakash Jain (Founder & Managing Director)
Mr. Prakash Jain started the group operations in 1982 after a 7-year stint in the can-maker 'Trapu Cans'. Mr. Jain is a commerce graduate from Mumbai University and has over 35 years experience in the industry. He has been at the forefront of driving the group vision and instilling dedication to quality. He has launched innovative products such as 'printed aluminium sheets' which lead to exponential growth in the group. He continues to give direction to the way forward.
Mr. Nikhil Jain (Executive Director)
Mr. Nikhil Jain is the son of the Founder, Mr. Nikhil Jain joined the group in 2002. He is a commerce graduate from Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai with an M.B.A (PGD-FMB) from S. P. Jain Institute, Mumbai. Having gained technical experience in his initial years, he now heads the marketing and production in the group.
Mr. Sambhukumar Jain (Executive Director)
Mr. Sambhukumar Jain is a Chartered Accountant and also holds a degree in Law (LLB) from Mumbai university. He joined the group in 1993 and has risen in ranks over the years. He has over 17 years experience and heads the finance and purchase in the group.
