On 31 December 2018, Oosterbeek Packaging BV, Maer Flexibles Europe BV and Haal Verpakkingen BV will merge with Alpha Packaging International BV. For its part, on 1 January 2019, Alpha Packaging International will undergo an official name change to Novio Packaging BV. On that same date, the international companies Fehn PolyCap GmbH, Scandinavian Packaging A/S and Macbey Industrial Ltd will be changing their name to Novio Packaging.

On 1 January 2019, Alpha Packaging International BV, Oosterbeek Packaging BV, Maer Flexibles Europe BV and Haal Verpakkingen BV will be legally merging. At the same time, Fehn PolyCap GmbH, Scandinavian Packaging A/S and Macbey Industrial Ltd will be changing their name to Novio Packaging. These developments represent a considerable expansion in the range of products and services offered by the Wijchen-based packaging and distribution company.

In the words of director Erik Trum, “All these companies complement one another perfectly, in terms of product range, service provision and scope. The new Novio Packaging will continue to focus on reliable quality and excellent service.” Director Marck Jansen added, “This boost to our efficiency will enable us to provide even better service to our national and international customers.”

New website

Why this name?

The new name for the merged packaging and distribution companies is Novio Packaging BV. Novio clearly refers to ‘new’, and is also a reference to Noviomagus (the Latin name for Nijmegen), that literally translated means ‘new market place’. Nijmegen is the city where the two Novio directors come from, and is close to Wijchen, where the company has its new head office.
