Perlen Packaging is an internationally active group of companies in the field of film manufacturing and film coating.
With sites in Switzerland, Germany and USA, we are the only systems provider of packaging films with a clearly defined pharmaceutical profile. Our processes, facilities, products and environment are geared to the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. Perlen Converting AG is a specialist for coated pharma films and ac-Folien GmbH is focused on the manufacture of PVC mono films.
Strengthened by our subsidiary Perlen Converting LLC in Whippany, New Jersey, USA, Perlen Packaging presents itself as a supplier of packaging solutions for the global pharma market.
Perlen Packaging is establishing a new film coating production facility in China. The new plant, Perlen Packaging (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., will commence operations in 2016, and should provide further impetus for the present growth in the Asian pharmaceuticals market.

Using state-of-the-art technology, we manufacture a full range of products completely geared to the packaging demands of the pharmaceutical industry.
Our expansive product portfolio covers a full range of solutions for primary packaging – from Mono PVC films through medium barrier to ultra-high barrier films for extreme protection requirements – whatever is demanded by the finished product and climate zone.
From the integrated mono film production to the coated and laminated barrier end-products, we offer thermoformable packaging films for solid, liquid and other dosage forms. In addition, we produce a selection of special films for suppositories and secondary packaging for syringes, ampoules and medical devices. Apart from barrier protection, we also offer a solution against counterfeiting. These anti-counterfeit films contain overt and covert optical security features.
All products comply with FDA requirements, Food and Drug Administration (DMF 10686 and 9072), German regulations (BfR), the relevant EU Guidelines (European Pharmacopeia) and SFDA (Chinese State Food and Drug Administration).
