The appointment extends the range of high-performance polymers from ExxonMobil Chemical that are available from Plastribution.
With this agreement Plastribution will be able to supply the industry with a wide range of Santoprene TPV grades available from stock – from standard natural and black products through to more specialised high flow, UV stabilised and low fogging products that are FDA and NSF approved.
Engineered to perform
Santoprene TPVs have proven to be dependable polymers with cross-linked EPDM properties for flexible engineered parts that require long-term performance.
Consistently delivering excellent performance – such as durability, improved surface aspects and smooth window operability – for automotive and demanding industrial applications, Santoprene TPVs have become the global standard for engineered TPVs. Compared to alternative materials such as thermoset rubber, Santoprene TPVs offer manufacturing flexibility, ease of processing, the potential for reduced system costs, and the possibility of sustainability benefits.
Key to their strength is ExxonMobil Chemical’s on-going commitment to the TPV industry. With more than 30 years of market presence, they have been delivering advanced solutions and support services that help customers manufacture high-performance products.
Leading polymer distributor, Plastribution, and Italian based polyamide producer, Radici Plastics, have further strengthened their relationship and commitment to each other by signing an official distribution agreement. The strategic move by both companies, ratified at the recent Plastics Industry Awards dinner in London, will see Plastribution maintain exclusive focus in distribution sales of Radici products in the UK market.
According to Plastribution’s Mike Boswell, “It was the appointment of John Rae as Radici Plastics UK managing director, which led to a decision to make an already strong partnership even better. And after many successful years trading, both organisations have impressive and ambitious growth plans for the future.”
Commenting on the agreement, John Rae said: “Plastribution has a long and successful history in providing expertise and know-how in advancing our engineering polymers portfolio throughout the UK. In formalising an extended agreement, both parties can look forward to the next exciting phase of our relationship, working with the many new innovative polyamide materials developed by Radici Plastics.”
The event is dedicated to rewarding innovation and exceptional performance and acknowledges the best companies and the best people in the market. A black-tie awards ceremony takes place on Friday 24 October at the London Hilton on Park Lane and will be hosted by comedian and TV presenter, Al Murray, aka ‘the Pub Landlord’.
Launched in 2001 and now firmly established as the most respected accolade for the plastics industry, the awards reward excellence in materials usage, design and manufacturing as well as training and environmental performance. With 16 categories judged by a panel of industry experts, there are opportunities for supplier companies, OEM manufacturers, plastics processors, consultants and designers to all showcase their work.
Commenting on the achievement, Plastribution’s Mike Boswell said:“We are delighted to be shortlisted in the polymer distributor category. After a period of absence from the awards, it is great to be once again recognised for our continued commitment to our customers and our abilities to provide them with unsurpassed levels of service.”
