Technigraph Corporation, a division of Alpha Packaging, has just introduced its environmentally friendly Eco-FrostTM Spray Frost for plastic and glass. The high-end look of the proprietary Spray Frost provides customers with an additional “green” packaging option, because unlike conventional spray frosts, it contains no VOCs or solvents.

Chuck Eddy, Vice President of Sales for Technigraph, says Eco-Frost offers many options to help companies differentiate their brand with a premium look. “Customers can choose from clear or colored frosts, and translucent or opaque tinted coatings,” Eddy says. “Eco-Frost can be used as a single color, or in multiple colors with fades. And the spray frost and coating processes can easily be combined with our environmentally friendly UV screen printing of up to six colors.” Eddy says the Eco-Frost coatings can be used on bottles, jars, closures and custom parts made from plastic or glass.

Eco-Frost is ideal for high-end personal care products, fragrances, cosmetics and liquors, but any company that wants to convey a luxury image can take advantage of this Earth-friendly process. For example, one of the first Eco-Frost customers is a high-end pet care line. Because tooling can often be shared among common neck sizes, Technigraph may take orders for as few as 10,000 pieces in a run.

Technigraph’s other proprietary, environmentally friendly processes can also be combined with Eco-Frost, such as super silver, textures, water droplets, iridescent colors, glitter, thermochromatics, glow-in-the-dark and black light enhancements. For products that must arrive at retailers’ locations in pristine condition, Technigraph can also wrap each individual container in a protective shrink sleeve to ensure every product makes the journey from the decoration line to point-of-sale with maximum protection.
