Leading French manufacturer of fine brushes since 1793 puts its unique expertise in the service of world-class make-up brands.
More than 200 years
Since 1793, Raphaël is a company with a rich and busy history.
In a few dates:
- 1793: Mr. Parent founds a brush factory in Paris.
- 1859: Charles Sauer buys the company and relocates it in Oinville.
- 1895: Max Auguste Sauer builds a steam factory in Hardricourt.
- 1925: His son, Max Sauer, relocates it in Saint-Brieuc.
- 1960: The factory is run by Michel & Gérard Sauer.
- 1967: New factory.
- 1973: First expansion.
- 1987: Second expansion / Eric Sauer takes over the company.
- 1991: New factory & neighboring warehouse.
- 1994: Purchase of Sennelier, leading manufacturer of artist colors.
- 2008: Expansion of the finished products warehouse.

The different steps of your customized development
After the definition of your project, we will hand you a detailed technical drawing for each brush. After validation, we will manufacture one or several sample before launching the industrial and commercial pre-series. All these different steps have been implemented in order to answer exactly and in detail to each of the technical, visual and economic criteria of your project.
The various development possibilities
Thanks to its historical brush experience, Raphaël is able to answer exactly all your development projects, both at a required technical level (depending on the textures used and the performance require), as well as from a design level (shapes, handle colors and finish, ferrules and tufts).
