Roberts Metal Packaging is proud to be shortlisted in the Metal Pack of the Year category at this year’s UK Packaging Awards for its Natura Bisse Diamond Cocoon Bath and Shower Balm pack.

This Barcelona-based premium skincare brand was looking for an outstanding pack for its bath and shower balm to complete its 2019 Limited Edition Beauty Lovers Day gift set. An aluminium jar, with its unbeatable recycling credentials, was ideal.

A 50ml jar from the Roberts’ Softline Extreme range was selected for its leak-proof and easy-to-open and easy-to-close properties plus its ability to stand up to the warm, damp environment of the bathroom or shower. The new jars needed to match the existing brand colour scheme and the lids were embossed to match other products in the range.

Each jar was produced at our fully-automatic, state-of-the-art line at our London based factory using recyclable 0.25mm aluminium and was sprayed with a clear lacquer internally and printed translucent red externally to give a true metallic effect that allowed the substrate to show-through.

The final product was finished with a satin varnish to enhance the tactile feel of the pack and the knurl was removed from both the lid and base to create a delicate look. The pack was also supplied in a sealed foil sachet for tamper evidence.
