Our Products
Aerosol Cans
BODY, TOP, BOTTOM – THE WHOLE THING FROM A SINGLE SOURCE
Made out of three pieces of tinplate, aerosol cans are exceptionally light and strong and are available in a diversity of diameters and fill volumes. As for the shape, there is a wide range of variations available. In addition to the standard straight-walled and necked-in versions, Staehle also makes 2-chamber cans, high-pressure cans with up to 22.5 bar as well as distinctively shaped cans for customers and brands. Weld testing in the production process guarantees highest safety standards – also for the transport of dangerous goods in accordance with UN and RID/ADR standards.
Tins
THE CLASSIC
Tins have been made by G. Staehle GmbH u. Co. KG ever since 1899. At the time, like today, tins were not only beautiful and safe containers for cigarillos, sweets and crayons but one thing above all, namely a space to project ideas – for an exclusive appearance and a prolonged presence. Hinged lid tins are available as rolled rim or folded rim tins, in gloss or matt, with a decorative lid or containing elements embossed in the base to fix contents, with or without a plastic inlay and – exclusively at Staehle – as a tin for CDs, CD ROMs and DVDs. In addition, Müller & Bauer, a Staehle subsidiary, offers a comprehensive range of metal packaging.
1956 – the aerosol can becomes a part of everyday life
Staehle was significantly involved in the development of the aerosol can, especially during the economic boom in Germany in the 1960s, filled with, for example, hairspray (“fluid hairnet”) that conquered private households. Today, Staehle is one of the leading producers in Europe and serves a wide diversity of industries: chemo-technical industry, cosmetics and medicine, automotive industry, sanitary, household and foodstuffs. For more than five decades, the family-run business – currently in the third generation – has maintained an excellent name as a producer of high quality and consumer-safe three-piece welded aerosol cans – made in Germany. The quality is achieved through the continual optimisation of machine technology and a perpetually perfected know-how.
Staehle produces aerosol cans completely in-house. From tin plate printing, cutting the sheets for the bodies with a precision of 50 µm, to pressing and shaping tops and bottoms and to bonding the parts in a fully automatic process that includes inline testing and finally packaging – if required on euro pallets with tray packaging or multi-layered packaging or on industrial pallets with multi-layered packaging.
The necessary process stability is down to modern machines, a close meshing of the individual production steps and, decisively, well-trained employees who commit themselves daily to the quality of the products, the keeping to deadlines and the assured implementation of specific requirements.
