Over the last twelve months, Tecnocap Group has created an assortment of new metal closures for candles, ice cream, spirits.
Each product was initiated by the request from a customer seeking a solution to a closure issue.
Some customers were simply looking for an alternative to their existing supplier, while another was looking for a better design and application due to capping and sealing issues.  One customer was looking for a closure for a new product to be introduced into the market.

Looking forward to the next twelve months, there are as many as seven new closures Tecnocap will be developing to address specific needs for specific markets, which when completed, should make a noticeable impression on the targeted markets.

96 mm Candle Cover

• It has been over a year ago since receiving the first request for a custom candle cover.
• The candle cover had a diameter of 96 mm, larger than any of Tecnocap’s current CandlePlugs.
• The plastic insert used to secure the cap to the glass container of the candle also has a unique design.
• After receiving some commitment from the customer, Tecnocap began to produce samples.
• With feedback from the customer, modifications were made.
• The resulting final version was an almost exact copy of the original candle closure.

89 mm Aluminum CT Plastisol

• The most recent request for a new product was for a new gelato coming to the market.
• The request was for an 89 mm Aluminum CT closure with plastisol.
• Tecnocap has been producing Aluminum CT’s with plastisol for a few months.
• Plastisol line products are usually used for hot filling.
• After some testing, the 89 Aluminum CT with plastisol worked successfully.

Although, Tecnocap USA can produce over 85 sizes and designs, and sizes ranging from 15 mm to 120 mm, it is always interested in new products which may make a significant impact on the market.

Espritbonnet spirit closure

• A spirits manufacturer asked Tecnocap to redesign the closure they were using.
• The current cap, a two-piece closure made from a plastic cap with an aluminum outer shell, would not always install properly, causing leaks.
• Additionally, due to the existing design, the cap could become smashed or dented easily.
• After some assessment and a major redesign, Tecnocap Group developed the Espritbonnet.
• The Espritbonnet is also a two-piece closure, but with a patent pending redesigned plastic cap, covered by a more durable aluminum outer shell.
• The Espritbonnet is available in a 28/400 & 33/400.

The new design eliminates the potential to crush the closure under normal capping operations, and dents and abrasions have been virtually eliminated.
