Turconi SpA is the largest Italian company in the production and sale of packaging and every day more than 100.000 Kgs of paper packagings are produced.
History
It was 1953 and, thanks to Agostino Turconi’s entrepreneurship sense, a small company in the centre of Saronno was born, devoted to the marketing of paper products.
In 1962 the reins of the company passed into Renato Turconi’s hands, who decided to wide the company and moved the seat to via Bergamo in Saronno. 1970 is the turning-point: the first machineries were bought and began the internal production of printed paper. During the following years the turnover has been growing and growing and strong partnerships and co-marketing products were born with key-customers who nowadays keep on preferring Turconi products.
Trusting in the development of the large scale retail trade, the company has been walking beside big brands, since the counted only small outlets, starting with them a course of constant growth.
Turconi has been growing at the same rate of large-scale retail trade, paying attention to demands of the new system and conforming to the birth and development of supermarkets and malls.
In the 80s new machineries were introduced according to the course of constant renewal and evolution which has been followed by Turconi from the beginning.
In 1990 Simone Turconi began to collaborate with the family company, trying to find new markets. The group extended, new highly technological plants for the production of paper bags were patented.
Nowadays Turconi is the company which has most of the production lines all over Italy and is the only one that can rely on an automatic and continuous production cycle, from the fitting of the reel to the packaging in shrink-wrapping material. Thanks to this plant, paper bags are never handled by the staff and they are stored in packages containing a number of guaranteed pieces, according to customer’s requirements.

The brand Turconi has been synonimous of quality, punctuality and excellence for sixty years. The company was born by Agostino Turconi’s will in 1953; under the leadership of the subsequent generations it has grown and expanded through the use of highly innovative machinaries thanks to the continuous research and development.

Quality
Turconi has always selected the best suppliers of raw materials on the market to guarantee its customers, but especially the final user, the hightest level of safety of its products.
The quality department carries out regular checks on incoming raw materials and, with the support of external laboratories, tests are carried out on migration and conformity of the products, essential to safeguard the health of consumer. Therefore all items meet the increasingly restrictive Italian and UE regulations related to products intended to keep in contact with foodstuffs. (Reg. CE 1935/2004 e Reg. CE 2023/2006 e D.M. 21/3/73).
Certifications
Thanks to constant care that Turconi lends to the quality of its products, CSI has renewed the certificate CSI-CERT for over eight years. That’s a further guarantee offered by the company to its customers for the awareness of a food-package 100% safe.
The desire to save the trees, valuable resource for the future, and to fight the wild deforestation lead Turconi to select paper suppliers that carry out replanting shrubs. For this reasons Turconi is able to provide its customers with products certified PEFC and FSC.
