The 2014 PPMA Group Industry Awards were held on Tuesday 30th September at the National Motorbike Museum in Birmingham during the PPMA Show. Yorkshire Packaging Systems had been shortlisted for the “Customer Service” award for 2014 and after fighting off strong completion they were the winners on the night! Winning this prestigious award marks a significant landmark for this Yorkshire based, family run, company who pride themselves on delivering best in class customer service. The company’s motto is “If we don’t look after the customer then someone else will”. Traditionally many companies supplying capital equipment focus on the product and the end sale and neglect the importance of investing in ongoing back up and support from a customer service angle because of the investment which it requires. First of all our reputation and pride as a family business, every piece of equipment has our name on it and so we ensure we protect this at all costs. We are aware that shrink wrapping machine down time costs money, whether that be because of a spare part or a service engineer. Finally it makes good business sense and is a false economy to not invest in supporting the machinery supplied as more business would be lost from potential repeat orders if we did not do this.
